We founded Happily Family in 2011, back when we were both full-time classroom teachers with two young kids at home, working from a “nook” off the side of the kitchen! Easy! When you register for the program click the “Written-For-You” add-on. You’ll meet with a professional writer who will craft your message in your voice.
How does the book help me grow my audience?
Each chapter will include the author’s media bio, headshot, and a QR code that will lead readers directly to your website, social media, or wherever you want them to go!
Do I have to have a business to participate?
No. The goal for lots of authors is personal fulfillment. Maybe you have a story that you want the world to hear or some hard-earned wisdom to share. If you want to help make things a little easier for the parents coming along behind you, this is a great way to do just that.
(Of course, if you want to start a business, this is a way to stand out, have instant credibility, and be able to charge premium prices!)
What rights do I retain to my content?
You maintain intellectual property rights to your content. After publication, you’ll receive a PDF of your chapter to use as you wish (e.g., as a free audience-building resource). The only restriction is publishing the chapter in its exact book format elsewhere for sale.
What if I don’t have any credentials (beyond my life experience)?
No problem. You don’t need any credentials to write a book, help others, and be of service. You don’t need an advanced degree to share your story or coach others. If you feel a stirring in your heart, trust in your wisdom. There is a special gift the world needs, that only you have.
What if I can’t attend the live author training?
No problem. You can submit questions beforehand. We will post replays of each training inside a members-only site for easy playback or download. You can visit them over and over again at the time that is most convenient for you. Authors can get questions answered at any time by posting in the community or emailing support.
How is bestselling status guaranteed?
The team will run a targeted, time-limited campaign to drive sales all at once. Plus we will ALL work together to get Bestselling status (we will aim for #1 International and while not guaranteed, it is likely). With all the authors participating and the Happily Family audience, it will create massive momentum. You will be a part of a very exciting launch party team, and we will all become best-selling authors together!
What if I jump in and realize that the program is not a good fit for me? Or I get too busy?
We are creating this program for action-takers. The time commitment is relatively low (you can write a chapter in 1-2 days). There are no refunds. However, if things come up and you are unable to write your chapter, we will work with you to see if the deadlines can be adjusted to still be a part of this book (or possible future books).
How long is each chapter? How long will it take me to write it?
Each author will contribute about 1,000 words, which is about 4 pages. How long it takes to write depends on you, your level of experience, your ability, and the clarity of your message.
How do I make my money back from this book?
Your chapter includes a QR code that directs readers to your business offerings. Common approaches include:
- Coaching services ($2,000+ per client)
- Parenting classes or courses ($300+ per student)
- Building your social media following for future offerings
The book enhances your credibility as a published author, helps you command higher rates, and connects you with potential clients. You’ll receive our “6 Ways to Make $6K Bonus” guide with specific monetization strategies.
Don’t have an offer yet? No problem. You can develop one before publication in April, or initially direct your QR code to social media while you create your offerings.

Can I get a refund if I'm not "accepted"?
We are accepting all authors. And we will work with each author to make sure that they produce high quality work. Due to high up-front costs, we are not able to offer refunds to contributing authors who “change their minds”.
However there are some other circumstances when we would issue a refund. For example, if you sign up to be a speaker for the Happily Family Conference, but your topic isn’t a match, we will refund you. Or if you sign up for the Influencer Accelerator package, but we can’t provide the type of business coaching that you need the most, we will refund you.
How much money will I make from book sales?
You might not know this about the publishing industry but… most authors don’t earn a lot of money from a book. They make money because of the book. A book leads people to you and your higher-priced products and programs.
Any revenue that the book generates will be used to market the book and further magnify the voices of each of the authors. This is not a revenue share opportunity.
Ask yourself… With your new status as a bestselling author, how much more money you will be able to make working with people, or as a keynote speaker, or from your coaching or courses? Will the book give you more confidence and credibility to get clients, raise your rates, and appear in the media? What is it worth to have the positioning of being shoulder-to-shoulder with other leaders in parenting? How much will it benefit you to be seen as an established expert in your topic area?
How much money will you make because of the book? We can’t promise, but the sky’s the limit.
